Chaque été le site anglais Crooked Tongues organise un gigantesque barbecue où sont conviés sneakerheads et amateurs de bon son. Depuis 2001, l’événement a pris de l’ampleur et chaque nouvelle édition amène son lot de surprises.

Cette année la réunion aura lieu dans le quartier de Shoreditch de 14 heures à 1 heure du matin et sera animée par quelques DJ’s experts en la matière : Rusko, FunkinEven, Acyde et Zaf.

D’après les organisateurs :

"It’s set to be our best UK party to date. After resting it for a minute, there’s a new venue, a street party vibe via a substantial cordoned-off area at Rivington Place in East London (once again, sorry to the non-Londoners out there, but we promise it’ll be worth the travelcard expense) and a great roster of guest DJs, including the mighty Rusko (with an appropriately beefed-up soundsystem to do his bass-heavy work justice), FunkinEven, Acyde, Zaf and assorted friends and family.

There’ll be plenty of complementary drinking on the house courtesy of Vodka O and Havana Club, food and a few surprises. It kicks off at 2pm on Sunday 16th of August and finishes at 1am, where you’ll emerge babbling incoherently with your ears ringing for the next 24 hours or so. That’s the plan anyway. There’s a lot of partying space, but we’re anticipating a roadblock…"
